In contrast, Van Pelt is the 20-1 favourite to go one better than last year and win the event in which he recorded a course record 64 in the opening round in 2008. Charles Howell III, co-favourite with Van Pelt, Brandt Snedeker [33-1] and Jason Day [28-1] are all players who warrant attention after some solid displays of late.
